One of my favorite things to do, if you didn't notice in my birthday post, is wine tasting!! :-) This time I took my wine quenching thirst to Sonoma, which isn't very far from Napa Valley. I went with two of my best friends and boy did we have a blast!
Two items in today's post are recent purchases that I'm really excited about! The Rebecca Minkoff MAB mini tote in nude and the distressed ankle cuff Joe's Jeans. This was actually my first time wearing the tote and I received so many complements on it! I like that's it fits only what I need, ie small wallet, lipgloss, sunglasses, phone, mascara and keys...as I usually carry a much larger handbag. What's even better is this mini tote comes in a ton of colors! Not shown but I love it in neon yellow and turquoise blue. And the Joe's jeans are just fun! It's hard to find jeans with just the right amount of distress...and the material is stretch so you can count on them being super comfy :-)
Our first stop was Ledson Winery, of all the wineries I visited this one had THE best Malbec. I always thought that Sonoma had a better selection of white wines due to the slight weather and terrain variation but their reds were incredible! We went to Chateau St.Jean next and my were we in for a treat! There was the most amazing courtyard with small tables and a gorgeous water fountain. I was so consumed by the scenery I completely lost track of time here! I loved their Chardonnay, and that's huge for me because that usually isn't my favorite. Next we visited an Italian family owned winery called VBJB. I was surprised to get a serenade by a vocalist and accordionist...and got to taste chocolate vino fused fillings for their house made truffles! YUM! Everything about this trip north to Sonoma was perfection!
