Floral Swim

Swimsuit: Victoria Secret (on sale! More colors here) / Kimono: Abercrombie Kimono (on sale!)

It is the first day going to the beach and being here has me convinced. Hawaii is really paradise on Earth! This is my fourth time visiting and each time feels like the first. I'm staying on Oahu near Waikiki yet I always find myself heading up to Lanikai. For one, it's much more secluded than the dozens of Palace size hotels on the beach front. Less people means more intimacy with those you're with. And the water, so warm and pretty! This beach will seriously brighten anyone's day.

I find myself choosing a swimsuit based on the location. For Hawaii the more colorful the more fitting! And because I'm completely obsessed with anything floral this swimsuit made for a very decisive decision...and the word decisive is NOT in my vocabulary ;-) An item I always have handy is a cover-up or in this case a shrug so that I can explore beach with comfort. Surprisingly, I found myself wearing it with my day outfits, so versatile! So if you've got a similar crochet ensemble in your closet, bust it out and bring to the beach!

Mahalo for stopping by!

Beach Bound

Top: Victoria Secret Tank / Bottoms: Rag and Bone / Sunglasses: BR Margaux
Bag: Red Dot Boutique (sale, similar here and here)

Aloha dolls! It's been a long time coming, finally a vacation! I can't believe more than half the year has past and I'm just now taking time off. Not only am I here for vacation, I'm celebrating a very special occasion...my little cousin is getting married! I couldn't be more excited for him. My family has been counting down the weeks since the beginning of the year. In fact, the moment we found out he proposed last year we asked when should we get our tickets! I can't wait to share the coming days in beautiful Hawaii with you.

Of course my top priority when arriving is getting to the beach! It looks a bit overcast but the weather is so dynamic it will begin to rain with the clouds gushing in then the sun will appear bright as can be. When heading to the beach, a simple tank and a pair of shorts is my go-to outfit. Easy to peel off and comfortable to wear on top of a swimsuit. And the most important item...and cute oversized tote that can carry all of your beach necessities! If you are not a Red Dot Boutique (aka Target) shopper, you'll be amazingly surprised of the items you can find. This tribal inspired tote is perfect and I literarily carry it around with me everywhere! This particular print is sold out but luckily I found the same style and it's on clearance! Well, I'm off, talk soon!

Sweater Ambition

Shoes: Converse / Hat: J.Crew Hat / Bag: RM Mini MAC / Lips: NARS Volga

It's another week closer to fall, I can't believe how fast summer has past! I've been so busy at work I have not had much time to do anything for myself. The systems development group I work for has been undergoing so many changes this quarter and I find myself up late, more frequently past midnight, just to get them implemented! I'm not too bummed about it since this month is the final implementation date and...I finally go on my must needed vacation!! I'm looking forward to sharing that with all of you friends.

What I like about coming into fall are the transitional fall pieces. I scored this super cool Leigh Drape Duster Sweater during Nordstroms Anniversary Sale. It sold out and now I see they'e replenished their stock online! :-) I like that it is extremely light weight so I can wear it in the summer on top of a tank and it be totally weather appropriate. I can even see myself wearing this with some boyfriend shorts and maybe a casual dress. It's my first time wearing...I can't wait to experiment more with it! I also coped the leather moto inspired Trouve Faux leather leggings during the sale. Great buy and even better, they are all under $100! Can't beat that. Were you able to score anything during Nordi's Anniversary?? Do share! And send me the link so I can check it out!

Talk soon beauts!

Craving Coral

Craving Coral

Craving Coral by Embellished Closet

1  /  2  /  3  /  4  (on sale!) /  5  (on sale!) /  6  /  7  /  8

I don't know about you but I've been on this colorful kick. Today, it's all about coral! Really coral is the perfect color combination, when I don't want to feel too girly by being completely absorbed in pink...yet not feel like I'm prematurely dressing for Halloween by wearing Orange. Fuse it together and you get these gorgeous items!

They all are super vivid and bursting with vibrant prints! The Keepsake Sweet Life dress is what got me on this craze...I love the slight tulip hem and the minimalist edge of the back! Give me any dress with a revealing back and I'm swooned ;-) Clearly the cluster rose dress is my favorite item here...what's yours?!

Fruit Salad Style

Top: J.Crew Linen Fruit Salad Tank (on sale!) / Bottoms: Rag & Bone 'The Mila' shorts (on sale!)
Shoes: Dolce Vita Archer (on sale!) / Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAB / Bracelet: Cara Spike Hinge

Today is an exciting day for me. Why? Garlic Festival Day!!! (Well of course it's something related to food!) Every year the Gilroy host their "Stinking Rose" Festival Day, and you can smell the wonderful aroma in the air for miles away! The Gilroy Garlic Festival is a non-profit organization that was created 31 years ago to support and help fund other non-profit organizations in the city of Gilroy. Not only is there great food but it helps support a great cause! My favorites of the day were the garlic ice cream (so delish!), the shrimp scampi, garlic mussells, and the crab stuffed garlic fries. I have never consumed so much garlic in the same day...am I in heaven??! ;-)

To stick with the theme of food, I'm wearing J.Crew's fruit salad tank! The weather is super hot down in Gilroy, triple digits, so the loose linen fabric helps my skin breath. I also think it's super fun and love the pastel colors going on. Any statement necklace paired is the perfect match! Like most things I try to bring it you, it's on sale! I didn't find many in store but all sizes are available online! I've worn this top with a skinny jean, cargo pants and a distressed white denim. Believe me when I say this tee is so fun to wear. What would you wear it with??

Thanks for stopping by!

For the Bell of It

Clutch: H&M / Necklace: Vendredi Bib Necklace (on sale! And almost identical here) / Lips: Nars

Well...we are in August already. Where in the world is this summer going? You know what that means. It's time for transition clothes for the Fall season! Fall is one of my favorite seasons and it's not just the love I have for Fall fashion and pre-season Fall sales. For us San Franciscians, we get a slight extension on summer days. Since we don't get true "seasons" like most of the country, we experience an Indian Summer in September and sometimes well into October. Fall, bring it on!

To get into the spirit of Fall, I'm wearing a long sleeve top with a denim jean. The crop cut hem says "we're still in summer" and the long bell shape sleeve screams "Fall is coming!" I scored this wide sleeve crop top on sale at Zara. Boy I love a great sale, especially when it's more than 60% off! It's still available online! The only thing I was concerned about was the shirt size, it only comes in one and that's a Medium. But after trying on I think it fits perfect! This was a relief as I am usually either an X-Small or Small in tops. Because this top is so simple, adding a large statement necklace is a MUST. You're in luck gals, this Anthro necklace in on clearance too!

Happy Styling Fashionistas!
