I am SO ready for the weekend. We are almost there y'all!! :-) I will be spending a lot of time outdoors this weekend. Baseball game, a day in the city and my favorite, Sunday brunch! Here are a few items that will inspire my look for this coming weekend. A bermuda short and leather flats, sounds like a formula for the perfect day.

Is it Monday or Tuesday?? Hope everyone had a great 3-day weekend! The extra day on the weekend is JUST what I needed for a fresh start to the work week. And since I am in a slightly better mood than usual, I thought I'd have some fun to my usual office outfit. I would normally wear a collar button up or sweater with a feminine pleated skirt like this, but T's are just so much more exciting! 

The key to mixing casual with dressy is selecting a fitted top so that it can easily be tucked in without any bulge. A nice colorful or vivid color print brings a simple skirt or bottom together amazingly! To add more glam to the look, a handbag with a pop of color is the way to go. Accessories are everything!! The Milly crossbody bag I've got here is one of my new favorite items. I'm more on the conservative side when it comes to colors but I am not afraid to rock this neon beaut!

Happy Friday y'all!! You can catch me in my best mood when it's Friday. There are so many reasons to be extra chipper about, the most obvious, the weekend is knocking at your door, it's casual Friday at work and the energy in the office is always a bit more relaxed, traffic is always lighter and lastly Friday is my cheat day (one of them! lol) and I always treat myself to a delectable delight. Today it is a mocha and a chocolate chip cookie. I am one happy gal ;-)

My latest denim fashion find is the super chic faded denim vest, I think it adds an extra cool factor to an outfit. Now imagining this same same outfit without the vest...boring! Wearing the J.Crew boy shirt in stripe poplin. It's a very classic top and I'd wear it more with trousers or skirts for work. Def more business casual when worn alone. Now. My next favorite item...the bright strawberry red suede Cleo loafers! You remember when I posted about these shoes in my super steals post?? I was so surprised to find out how comfortable these flats were. I were literally able to wear them for a full 12 hours! From 8am when I left home till 8pm when I returned home. The particular pair I'm wearing is in Fresh Strawberry...I'm also a huge fan of the Cleo Flat in burnished coral not only because I'm in love with the color...it's $100 less than the red! I'm tempted to get both. Which color is your favorite??!

Hi all! Hope you are all having a wonderful week thus far! It's that busy time of the month for me so things have been pretty hectic at work! But that doesn't mean I can't take the time to dress for a night out ;-) 

I found this striped skirt at H&M and I was really surprised with the quality! The fabric and design was executed very well. Warning. It's pretty short for a gal 5'7" or taller! It was a bit short for what I'm used to but didn't feel too bad since it has a flare fit. That actually is my favorite part of the skirt, it's just darling! And the heels I happened to pick up just recently in the clearance section at Zara. So if there's on in your neighborhood, I'd rush over there FAST! I love finding a good bargain, doesn't it make you feel so proud when you save yourself a few extra bucks?? This entire outfit cost me under $100 dollars. Score!

Stripes might just be my new obsession. Here are some other striped selections I've spotted.

GROOVY SHIFT

Happy Saturday! It's been a pretty great week, the sun has been bright and the days have been productive. Today, I'm feeling a little groovy :-) Hope you all have had a great week as well.

I'm wearing this super mod Maeve windfall shift dress as a tunic. As you can see it's slightly slouched so it won't look too long as a shirt. It's even cuter as a dress by my legs are a wee bit long to wear as a dress comfortably...let me rephrase that, I planned on doing more than standing still so couldn't wear as a dress! A size larger is the perfect length but was too big up top. I really love the fit of the dress, it's on the wide side with bell shaped sleeves. The straight cut of the dress makes it not seem so short. The dress is currently on clearance in Anthro! But if not, I found them on the last shopping resort...eBay!

Would you prefer to wear as a tunic or dress...or both??!

We. Are. Almost. There. Hope you're enjoying your week thus far! We are in the thick of spring now and I'm sure enjoying it! I get this warm and fuzzy feeling inside when the sun is bright and free of mind blinding fog! Although the sun is out and bright, I'm no fool for city weather so layering up is a must! Here's how I wore this J.Crew Pink Geo shirtdress:

1) Layered the dress with a khaki trench coat and pink scarf. I was actually able to go with out the trench but the scarf sure came in handy while walking downtown. Wore with flats as I do quite a bit of walking to get to work! 2) No layers at all, just the dress and my trusty BR Abby Flats! 3) Kicked off the flats for a pair of taupe pumps and I'm ready to take on the day :-)
